Arvilla Megquier, my 2d cousin 3x removed, was born on this date in 1875, in New Gloucester, Maine, the oldest of three daughters born to John Louville Megquier and Alice Jane Morse.
Arvilla lived her whole life in New Gloucester, where, at the age of 21, she married Herman Milbourne McIntire, also from New Gloucester.
Together, Arvilla and Herman had seven children, five daughters and two sons:
Pearl Ramone, b. 1896
Doris Althea, b. 1898
Alice and Ruth, twins, b. 1900
Lois Small, b. 1902
Charles Megquier, b. 1904
and
Raymond Proctor, b. 1908
In the 1910 Census, Herman's occupation was listed as carpenter. He died tragically as a result of a boiler explosion on September 15, 1911.
Arvilla lived to be 70 years old, and died in Brunswick, Maine.

Arvilla and Herman are buried together in Lower Corner Cemetery, in New Gloucester.
